This is Priory Park in Hitchin - a field which many dog walkers will be acquainted with. On a random walk one day, I stumbled upon this glorious field in Hitchin (hence the name ‘Took a Right Turning’) and was overcome with joy at discovering somewhere so rural and stunning in a town. The vibrant palette conveys this excitement.
The original of this was exhibited in the 2023 Hitchin Art Trail at the British Schools Museum, as part of Hitchin Festival.
